This package is designed to comprehensively verify the background of those candidates who are either relatively new to the workforce or who are to be employed in a less demanding or critical role within your organisation. Our Essential Package encompasses:

Employment History Trail

The candidate's employment history over the past 5 years is thoroughly explored. This search is conducted separately from the reference check. We identify the positions held within an organisation, remuneration received, direct reports and the respective dates employed, to the month.

Employment References

Up to 2 detailed behavioural based reference checks are conducted with past managers. Should a past manager not be available to provide the reference, we will discuss other options with the candidate, and always aim to talk to the most senior people who had a close working relationship with the candidate.

Our experienced consultants will go into greater detail than the average reference check, being highly trained in specific questioning techniques to spot inconsistencies, uncover reservations the referee may have and follow through where there are unanswered questions around level of past performance.

Workers Compensation Claims

Any prior workers compensation claims for both physical and psychological injury are explored in detail and the liability status clarified where possible.

Clearance to Work

It is the employer's responsibility to ensure that everyone they hire is eligible to work in Australia. We verify the residency status of the candidate, and for those that are non-residents, will verify their entitlement to work in Australia as there are significant differences between visa types.

Criminal Record

An employer can decide against employing a candidate for a role should they have a criminal record that is related to the position. Through the state and Federal criminal records departments, Verify will identify any recorded convictions, including major driving offences.
